Jordan Pass from Algeria: useful for Petra, but no visa waiver

Last verified: June 2026 (jordanpass.jo source)

Does the Jordan Pass waive the visa for Algerians?

No. The Jordan Pass (a bundle including entry to Petra + ~40 sites) does NOT waive the visa for Arab nationals, including Algerians (official jordanpass.jo FAQ). It is still useful to save on site entries, but you pay the visa (40 JOD) separately — online or on arrival. For non-Arabs, the Pass includes the visa if they stay enough nights; that does not apply to Algerians.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Jordan Pass include the visa for Algerians?

No. Arab nationals (including Algerians) are excluded from the 'visa included' benefit; you pay the visa (40 JOD) separately.

Is the Jordan Pass still useful?

Yes, for entry to Petra + ~40 sites at a bundled price — but it is not a visa shortcut for you.

Where to buy the Jordan Pass?

Only on the official site jordanpass.jo.

How do I avoid scams?

Use only jordanpass.jo and eservices.moi.gov.jo (Ministry of Interior). Many third-party sites charge inflated fees.

Is approval guaranteed?

No. The decision is at the Jordanian authorities' discretion; OuiVisa checks eligibility before payment.

Your Jordan visa first

The Jordan Pass does not include Algerians' visa. OuiVisa gets your eVisa (40 JOD) online; the Pass is bought separately at jordanpass.jo.
