Extending your stay in Seychelles
Last verified: June 2026 (ics.gov.sc source)
Can you extend your stay in Seychelles?
Yes. The Visitor's Permit granted on arrival is free for the first 3 months, then extends in 3-month blocks up to a maximum of 12 months total — one of the most generous in the world (ideal for long stays). Each extension after the free 3 months costs SCR 5,000 and is requested online at permits.ics.gov.sc, ideally at least 5 days before expiry. This is not the entry Authorization — for that, see the Tourism tab.
